In the early 1980s the chain attempted to stake a claim in Northern New Jersey when it leased two vacant, previous Two Fellas spots. The approach was to gauge reaction to both of these big stores (150,000 sq/ft each), after which system further more growth into New Jersey. Neither area lived up to expectations, and the two stores were to start with
